Why cycling on the treadmill of delight?

Cycling on the treadmill of delight is a play on words drawing on my work in customer experience, continuous improvement and my love of cycling. No one can plant seed in August and expect a good harvest in September, to achieve anything requires careful thought and planning.

 

In fact I think most things fit nicely into the DMAIC framework:

DMAICDefine – what are you trying to do/change?

Measure – what do you need to measure/discover?

Analyse – what customer insight are you gaining from what you have measured? What is critical to customer experience/quality?

Improve – what solutions can be generated to meet the customer expectation?

Control – what do you need to do/measure to ensure your new improvement is delivering the desired benefit?
